No bad dogs, just uneducated owners
Hi! I am Holly Carlson. I have been a Certified Dog Trainer for 16 yrs. I am also an Animal Behavioral Specialist for the last 5 years. I work with aggression issues, anxiety, fear, separation anxiety, over excitement and all behavioral issues in-between. I never turn down any dog or family in need of help.
I believe almost all behavioral issues come from lack of knowledge and understanding of dog psychology and how dogs actually communicate. My goal is to teach owners that leadership and structure are the only to have a balanced and behaved dog. By focusing on daily activities, how we make our dogs feel and how we feel, and structure with our dogs, we never see behavioral issues because these daily activities fulfill the dog's fundamental needs and creates leadership for the owner.

4 to 6 months. Get your puppy started on the right track! It’s never too early to start training and we’re here to help guide you every step of the way! The first 6 months of a puppy’s life are critical for socialization and new positive experiences. What your puppy learns during this stage will likely shape behavior for the rest of his or her life, so it is important to start on the path to success. Proper early socialization is key for having a confident, friendly, well-adjusted companion. K-9 Pup Foundation consists of four 60-minute specialty classes which will help with the development of cognitive, motor, and social skills all while strengthening your puppy’s bond with you! We cover important topics such as potty training, crate training, jumping, barking, chewing and nipping along with providing you with a foundation in humane, cruelty-free training methods. We empower you as your puppy's guardian to become the best advocate for them to promote a long, happy, healthy life. 6-week course for $200.
6 months and older. An entry level manners class with a twist. Perfect blend of manners, fitness, tricks and fun for you and your companion. This class incorporates physical challenges using various pieces of canine conditioning equipment. Your dog will not only learn the foundation behaviors but by incorporating physical activates, we are able to add fun and exciting mental challenges able to improve your dog's physical health and their behaviors at the same time. 6-week course $200.00.
K-9 Obedience Foundations Level 2 takes the basics to the next level!
We build on the manners and behaviors taught in our Level 1 class while adding in more canine conditioning exercises to strengthen our dog's bodies while working their busy brains for the ultimate mental/physical combination. In our Level 1 program we introduced luring, targeting and verbal reward markers. In our Level 2 program we introduce another positive reinforcement training technique called shaping as well as a clicker which is a non-verbal reward marker (included with your program). By implementing these new tools and techniques along with the foundation skills we used in Level 1, we are able to further strengthen our communication skills and add more behaviors to our toolbox which improves the human-canine relationship and bond. The better we are able to communicate and have our requests understood by our dog, the less stress occurs at both ends of the leash and the more willing our four-legged teammate will be to perform the behaviors that are asked of them.
By incorporating more physical and mental challenges, we can potentially lengthen our dog's life span while helping prevent injury and disease.
Cost is $200 for a 6 week course
